Qlik sense Maximum data volume

Hi,

I am new to Qlik Sense. I have few queries regarding large volume of data handling in Qlik Sense. (Assuming RAM is 8 GB)

1. What is the max data size handled by Qlik sense?

2. What is max size QVD we can create in Qlik Sense?

3. What is the data is more than the max data limit handled by Qlik sense?

4. What are the best practices of handling  large dataset in Qlik sense?

5. What is the matrices of actual size of data with compared to QVD size?

e.g. If there are 50000 records in the RAM, if we strored it in QVD then qvd size would be around 200MB.

Hi,

This is dependent on a lot of variables.. But because your RAM is 8 GB, the answer to the first two questions is about 4 GB. Because Qlik has the model in memory (consuming 4 GB) and while writing your QVD to the folder it will also consume about 4 GB.

If you data is bigger than 4 GB, the server will probably crash or become really slow.

Best practices is code optimally, drop tables when possible and get a lot of RAM in your system.

About question 5, it can be between 7 till 10 times larger but also this depends on a lot of variables..
