Ranking - Not in Sequence

Hi Everyone,

I have an issue with RANK function, in that it is not assigning the correct ranking against the number being ranked.

I have used the following:

Num(Rank(-sum([Complaints]/[Sales])))

Num(Rank(aggr(-sum([Complaints]/[Sales]),Sales_Outlet),1))

this is an example of the outcome in both cases

Right Hand column is the RANK, and the 2nd right is what it to be ranked.

Any guidance / recommendations will be  great help.

Many thnaks,

David

Hi Vikas,

Thanks for coming back on this query.  I have attached sample data as it should be ranked.

The sequence is as you say, 1,2,3,4 etc., with the highest value being the lowest ranked as per the attached file.

I am unable to open QLIK files from this site as I only work on the web based version, and do not know how to import files to this platform, therefore if you have a solution, can you type the script as part of the reply, or even better how to import files for the web application.

Thanks again,

David
