Setting Default Value for Filter Pane

Is there any way we can set a default value for a filter pane?

For example, I have a filter pane with the following dates:

5/30/2016

6/6/2016

6/13/2016

6/27/2016

7/4/2016

7/11/2016

7/18/2016

7/25/2016

8/1/2016

8/8/2016

8/15/2016

8/22/2016

But, I want the filter pane to pick the date that is in the current week. So, for this week, it has to auto-pick 7/4/16. Next, week it would auto-pick 7/11/16. Then, if someone wants to look at other weeks, they have to go to the filter pane and actually click on other values.

Hi Akhil,

Set up a trigger when opening the document. The trigger should be set up on the select in feild for the date feild and its search string should be =WeekStart(today())

I'm actually using Qlik Sense. Is there any way this can be done on Qlik Sense either on front-end or on the script in back-end?
