upgrading direct from Feb 2019 patch 2 to Nov 2020

Hello,

Anyone have any experience with a direct upgrade from Qlik Sense Server Feb 2019 patch 2 to Nov 2020 and then apply Nov 2020 SP1.

I have a single server system that I need to upgrade.  I am looking for the most direct upgrade now that Nov 2020 has been out for a month.

Thanks,

Michael

Hi,

you can also proceed the upgrade when you made an snapshot of the VM before. That should also enough. But normally you should'nt have any trouble during the upgrade.

What I can also recommend is that you check the C and e.g. D-Drive if enough disc space is available.

Hi,

you can directly upgrade from Feb 19 to Nov 2020. But I would would strongly recommend to backup the certificates before and make also an db dump:

With Feb 19 you repository db have the same table structure (9.6) as in Nov 20.

I hope this helps.

Hello,

1. I will setup a VMWare Snapshot full server backup.

2.

You mentioned backing up certificates.

We don't have any custom certificates.  Is this required?

Thank You,

Michael
