This video demonstrates how to Restart a Qlik Replicate task from the Log Sequence Number or LSN for a Postgres source.

Environment

  • Qlik Replicate

Two methods for finding the LSN:

  1. Querry
  2. Search the Replicate Task Log File

The task logs can be found here:
Program Files > Attunity > Replicate > Data > Logs

Find the LSN in the Log File:

  1. Search the task log for "Final saved task state"
  2. After the text "Stream Position" is the LSN value
  3. Copy the LSN value from the log file

Start the Qlik Replicate task using LSN:

  1. In the drop down menu at the Run button > select Advanced Run Options
  2. Advanced Run Options.png
  3. *Unfortunately, for a postgres source, restart from a date and time is not supported.

  4. Paste the LSN value in the Source Change Position field
  5. Click OK

This will trigger the task to run and should replicate any changes since the task was stopped.

Restarting the task using LSN for the postgres source can be a useful method if there are issues or limitations using the Resume processing option.

Using the Advanced Run Options will allow you to go back in time and reprocess records from the past without running a full load.
