Find below how to change the settings.ini file for a user within QlikView Desktop and QlikView Internet Explorer Plugin.
- Close any open instances of QlikView Desktop Client or Internet Explorer with the Plugin loaded.
- On the client locate the file settings.ini for the current user. Backup the settings.ini before making any changes.
The file can be found in the following location:
C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\QlikTech\QlikView\Settings.ini
- Under the [Settings 7] section in settings.ini, create the setting wished setting like this example:
[Settings 7]
DisableRegistryInterface=1
DisableLayoutChanges=0
DisableScripting=1
[...]
Please note that there is not any built-in Qlik utility to propagate changes to the settings.ini files for multiple QlikView Desktop installations.
Upgrading the QlikView Desktop may revert the settings to default.
