This article gives an overview of how the Search functionality works in the Hubspot connector in Qlik Application Automation. It will also go over a basic example of searching contacts by email.

The CRM search endpoints make getting data more efficient by allowing users to filter, sort, and search across any CRM object type.

Each search endpoint includes a multitude of searching mechanisms that can be used individually or combined:

  1. search by property value: you need to provide the property name you want to base your search on, specify an operator, and provide the value.  The property name can be either typed or selected using the 'do lookup' functionality available by clicking the 'property' input field.
  2. sort object by property: you need to provide the property name and the sorting order.
  3. Use the 'query' mechanism: finds all objects with a property value containing the provided query value.

Example on how  to filter contacts by email:

  1. on the left menu, search for the Hubspot 'Search Contacts' block
  2. drag and drop the block into the automation and link it to the start block

  3.  on the right menu,  use 'email' as the property name, choose the 'equal to' operator, and then type the  email that you want to filter on:

  4. this will return a filtered list of contacts based on the inputs.
