NPrinting is running fine, however only when logged in using the sevice Account or NPrinting admin account can users perform tasks such as reloading metadata, editing of users, or editing roles.

Other users who may be assigned the Administrator role can attempt to trigger meta data reloads and other tasks, but the command is never carried out. There is no indication in the webengine logs of the user asking for the metadata reload.

 

Cause and Resolution

 

Verify if you have an external Load Balancer in front of the Qlik NPrinting setup. The Load Balancer may be blocking API Calls.

To verify, access the Qlik NPrinting webconsole directly (without using the Load Balancer) and test if the users can correctly perform tasks. 

To resolve, contact your Load Balancer admin and verify if they can see blocked traffic.
