Join me next Thursday to see our latest Qlik Sense SaaS feature - data alerting.

Data alerting provides data-driven alerts that help you monitor your business and take action when there are sudden changes or outliers in your data. Alerting capabilities include evaluation of new data against thresholds, comparisons between measures and conditions, and the ability to trigger alerts based on individual dimension values.  Alerting is included within the Qlik Sense Enterprise SaaS user interface, allowing both self-service and managed alerts.

Sign up today: https://go.qlik.com/Do_More_with_Qlik_Webinar_Series-Nov19_Registration-LP.html to see this awesome feature live - and take this opportunity to interact and ask questions. Hope to see you there!

Hi Mike,

Quote:

Is Qlik Alerting "out of the box" included in the SaaS-Edition of Qlik Sense?

Sense on Windows: You have to buy Qlik Alerting!?!

Could you please confirm this or do you have to buy Qlik Alerting also for the SaaS version?

Thx in advance and many greetings from Germany

Martin

Yes, that's true. On the Windows platform, Qlik Alerting is a value-added product that customers can purchase if they wish. On the SaaS platform alerting is a built-in capability.

Please note that Qlik Alerting on the Windows platform offers a lot more features and functions than the  current alerting capabilities in Qlik Sense on SaaS.

Hello,

I think to get alerting to work you need to update your SaaS settings, data alerts although ON by default, will not work (I think) without your email services being added eg:

Please ensure you keep your email secure (587) and if you have Office 365 do not use an actual user PW but a device/application PW. See: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/mail-flow-best-practices/how-to-set-up-a-multifunction-dev...

I don't think data alerts are available for all tenants - here is a screenshot of mine:

@dimitar_dekov it could be the case described in this post: https://community.qlik.com/t5/Qlik-Alerting-Discussions/Alerting-not-available-in-Qlik-SaaS-Nov-2020...

I would advise to contact Support

Hi,

Data alerts must be enabled on the tenant. A tenant admin can enable data alerts in the Settings page in the management console.

For more information, see Managing alerts

If you want to use email notification, you also need to configure an email server in the Settings page.

For more information, see Configuring email support

Hi Guys - great community interaction - greetings to you all - thanks for answering one another's questions and supporting each other - (saved me a lot of typing - lol) @dimitar_dekov  - are you still having the issue with Qlik Alerting not being available in SaaS Enterprise? Did Qlik support help you?

Regards
Mike

@Michael_Tarallo , thanks for asking. Qlik support fixed the issue. Seemingly some tenants were not enabled for Qlik Alerting automatically.
