Hi @Malcolm08

We dont have any context of your environment:

  • versions of OS
  • version of QlikView
  • context about report, resources, etc.
  • is your environment totaly offline and didnt have any updates on any software used on that server? - since you are using long unsupported version you cannot upgrade QlikView, you cannot use new excel versions, you cannot patch windows or install/update any other software on the server where NPrinting is running as that can potentially cause issues with this unsupported npritning version.
  • if you want to do all those things you need to be on currently supported version - so plan the migration

Otherwise restart your server and pray for the best and plan upgrade. The thing with unsupported software is - that is unsupported and anything unsusual like that no longer can be easily solved.

I am really serious with all above and I am also serious that restarts sometimes help with this.

cheers

Hi Lech_Miszkiewicz

Thanks for the information provide.

we are running windows 11.
QlikView version 11 - so outdated there as well.

We are running old versions as we in the process of a planned migration, but just getting the timing right as we have a lot of moving parts within our models. so, it's a slow-moving transition.

Hopefully a restart of the server will assist and fix the problem.  Holding thumbs

Thanks once again for the information and feedback, much appreciated.
Hopefully soon well be able to do the migration.

Hi,

QlikView NPrinting 16.* is no more supported since MArch 2020, more than 4 years ago.

Please upgrade your installation to 16.3 at least (latest is 16.9) and migrate to Qlik NPrinting May 2023 or better February 2024 as soon as possible. You must upgrade to 16.3 minimum because it is the first version with the tool to export projects in a format that can be imported in newer versions and this reduce the migration efforts.

For more details refer to https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/February2024/Content/NPrinting/Migrate/Migrating.htm

Maybe upgrading to 16.9 could also help to solve.

Best Regards,

Ruggero
