Installing Qlik Sense certificates while not being able to login as the user running the services
Hello everyone,
Situation:
- I am trying to establish a connection between a nprinting server and a qliksense hub.
- Running the verification returns an error in the point: "Installed certificates are valid to connect to Qlik Sense."
- Further points where an error occured are provided at the end of this post
- The help page (Installing Qlik Sense certificates (https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/September2017/Content/DeployingQVNprinting/NPrinting-with-Sens...)) suggests:
- "You must login to the Qlik NPrinting Server running the Qlik NPrinting Scheduler service, with the Windowsdomain user account used to run the Qlik NPrinting Scheduler service."
Problem:
- The service is registered on a Service Account where login is disabled. Therefore I am able not to login with the Windowsdomain user account used to run the Qlik NPrinting Scheduler service.
Questions:
- Did I correctly capture the problem and draw the right conclusions?
- Is there solution to this problem?
Feel free to ask if you require any further information.
Used Software:
- Qlik NPrinting April 2018 Version: 18.9.5
- QLik Sense February 2018 qliksenserver: 12.5.2
Further errors shown by verification:
- Get the version from QRS on the "Proxy Address".
- Get ProxyId from QRS on the "Proxy Address".
- Get a list of all apps from QRS on the "Proxy Address".
- Get App information from QRS on the "Proxy Address" for the "Sense App ID".
- The "Proxy Address", "Sense App ID" and "Identity" can be used for a connection to a Qlik Sense Engine.
- All Qlik Sense engines are reachable from the Qlik NPrinting Engine computers.
- Lookup the Qlik Sense Proxy port from QRS on the "Proxy Address".
- The Qlik Sense Proxy port is reachable on the "Proxy Address".
- Perform a GetTicket request to the Qlik Sense Proxy on the "Proxy Address".

You are using Qlik NPrintng April 2018 so refer to the related version of the help site https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/April2018/Content/DeployingQVNprinting/NPrinting-with-Sense.ht.... There could be differences from different versions.
Try to run the command line windows with the Windows user that runs the services.
Keep SHIF pressed and do a right click con cmd.exe, then select Run as a different user. Insert the credentials of the user who runs the windows service.
Best Regards,

Hallo Ruggero,
thanks a lot for your answer. Running a program as another user solved the problem.
For other users who might face the same problem:
For me run as other user was disable originally so I first had to enable it.
When a tried to start the certificate manager via cmd (using the service account)I had not sufficient rights but then I pinned the certificate manager to start and could run it with another user. (on windows 😎
