Hi,
A user has created a report in NPrinting with Map data but its blank when getting run, this is to be expected as our NPrinting servers have very limited internet access.
Now to allow access for a specific application I need to provide the following destination information. (outside of the obvious Source information)
Destination FQDN / APP: e.g. www.fqdn.com.au
Destination Port/Protocol: e.g. TCP 443 / HTTPS
Looking at the ports used for NPrinting im assuming its port 4996 but not 100%, can someone please clarify what port and if possible IP/Hostname are being used for map data?
Thank you,
Adam.
Hi,
Ports listed in https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2022/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/Ports.htm are the ones used internally by Qlik NPrinting to work.
If you are using a Qlik Sense third party extension to create the maps, be sure it fills the requirements listed in https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2022/Content/NPrinting/MultiDocument/Using-Sense-third-part....
When a report is created and sent to the recipient, it is a stand-alone file as a normal file of that format without any connection with the Qlik NPrinting server that generates it and it is autonomous. In other words, if you do not see the maps because it is not downloaded from its original site I think it is not a issue related to Qlik NPrinting.
Best Regards,
Ruggero
Maps are generated from the user-end side. In terms of NPrinting that will be all Engine machines.
As documented in Qlik Sense here are ports required:
Service | Port | Direction | Purpose | Host |
---|---|---|---|---|
QPS | 443 | Inbound | Inbound user web traffic when using HTTPS. | Qlik Sense Proxy Service (QPS) in the site. |
QPS | 80 | Inbound | Inbound user web traffic when using HTTP (optional). | Qlik Sense Proxy Service (QPS) in the site. |
Map | 443 | Inbound | User web traffic for standard map background. For users hosting their own map server, use the name of the host server. | maps.qlikcloud.com |
Map | 443 | Inbound |
User web traffic for satellite map background. Information noteAs of December 7, 2021, the server is ibasemaps-api.arcgis.com. Previously this was services.arcgisonline.com.
