Qlik NPrinting Backup
In the manual below, what happens to the command without adding the pg password?
Qlik.Nprinting.Manager.exe backup -f C:\NPrintingBackups\NP_Backup.zip -p "C:\Program Files\NPrintingServer\pgsql\bin" --pg-password secretPassword
Tip noteAdding the repository database superuser password into the command line is optional. If you do not enter the superuser password, it will be read from the Qlik NPrinting configuration files.
is this?
Qlik.Nprinting.Manager.exe backup -f C:\NPrintingBackups\NP_Backup.zip -p "C:\Program Files\NPrintingServer\pgsql\bin" --pg
Please reply if possible.
thank you.

Hi,
18.9.5 is April 2018 that is almost 5 years old version and no more supported. Plan the upgrade to a supported version as soon as possible by following the instructions in the official help site at https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2022/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/Qlik-NPrinting-... and in the Release Notes of the version you are installing (latest is better).
Create the backup by inserting the password.
Best Regards,
Ruggero

Hi,
You can simply use Qlik.Nprinting.Manager.exe backup -f C:\NPrintingBackups\NP_Backup.zip -p "C:\Program Files\NPrintingServer\pgsql\bin" and check that the console messages confirm that the backup is created correctly.

Hi,
When posting a new question in the community, please, remember to add the label with the exact version of Qlik NPrinting you are using because the answer could depend on it. I think you are using an old version that still requires you to specify the password in the command line. So:
- create the backup by adding the password
- be sure that you are using a supported version of Qlik NPrinting otherwise plan the upgrade as soon as possible
Best Regards,
Ruggero
