Setting connection between Qliksense and Nprinting machines
I have two machines of Qlik - One for Qliksense (QS) and another for Nprinting.
I need to set communication / connection between the two so that applications can be published from QS to Nprinting and then eventually MIS reports can be sent on email from Nprinting machine.
The requirement as understood is that there should be a user with root admin rights which will be created on QS machine and that user should be accessible on the Nprinting machine.
Kindly confirm whether the same can be met without both the machines being part of the same domain through Active directory.
We are not going to integrate these machines with Active directory due to certain reasons so need guidance on how the requirement of setting the communication between QS and Nprinting machines can be met.
Thank you.

how about reading documentation:
- general requirements: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2022/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/Planning-your-d...
- accounts setup: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2022/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/User-accounts.h...
- Connecting to Qlik Sense: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2022/Content/NPrinting/GettingStarted/HowCreateConnections/...
Now, here is a thing which based on your question will be problematic:
- Requirements
Qlik NPrinting Server and at least one Qlik NPrinting Engine must be installed and activated.
Qlik Sense certificates must be installed on all Qlik NPrinting Engine computers. See: Exporting and installing Qlik Sense certificates .
The Qlik NPrinting user creating the connection must have a domain user account that is a member of the same domain as the Qlik NPrinting server and the Qlik Sense server.
Bottom line is that the account must be domain account and in the same domain. Also that accounts must be NTLM authenticated when connecting from NPrinting to Qlik Sense

Further, anything custom configuration beyond the supported configuration points made by @Lech_Miszkiewicz would be an unsupported configuration...even if you somehow got it to work in a non-domain environment. This will be the first point that will be made by any support engineer under any custom configuration.
Kind regards...

The network team has come back with the following answer to the requirement of putting the two difference machines i.e. Qliksense and Nprinting into the domain as was requested in the thread above -
- We have RODC server in AWS shared landing zone which can suffice domain join requirement.
- Azure AD comes with SAML 2.0 & OAuth 2.0 options which will provide seamless login experience for application and with Conditional access polices.
Any inputs on whether the above approach to incorporating the machines into domain and of domain user name will suffice or there will still be gap in the solution.
Thank you.

I would strongly urge you to review the product limitations and requirements and reach out to Qlik Professional Services or a partner with experience in deploying such deployments.
NPrinting deeply requires nprinting active directory authentication. If Windows Active Directory authentication is not available in your proposed solution, your proposed solution may not work.
For example
- NPrnting service account MUST be a domain user account and must be rootadmin on QS server.
- NP and QS and NP service account must be members of the same domain.
- NPrinting On Demand does not work with a purely SAML auth environment.
Kind regards...
