Inquiry Regarding QlikView and Nprinting Server Upgrades

To the Qlik Team,

We are planning to upgrade our QlikView and Nprinting servers and would like to inquire about the potential risks associated with these upgrades.

Additionally, although our preliminary checks suggest compatibility, we would appreciate any insights you have on the compatibility of these upgrades.

Our current server environment is as follows:
Current Versions:
- QlikView Server: 12.10.20500.0, 12.10.20700.0
- Nprinting Server: 18.9.5.0
- Qlik ODBC Connector Package: 1.0.0.432
- Oracle Database 11g Express Edition: 11.2.0 (We plan to upgrade to 19g after upgrading the QlikView server)

Planned Upgrade Versions:
- QlikView Server: May 2022 SR2 (v12.70.20200)
- Nprinting Server: May 2022 SR4 (v22.15.14)
- Qlik ODBC Connector Package: v6.149.1
- WebConnector December 2022 v2.140.1 (New installation)

If possible, we kindly request your guidance on this matter.

Thank you.

Hi @qwebnm,

The normal "upgrade QlikView Server/NPrinting" documentation applies to your scenario:

You'll want to do extensive testing prior to upgrading production as well as read and understand the Release Notes of all of the versions between your current version and the version you are upgrading to.

Also, note that the May 2022 versions of QlikView and NPrinting will reach end of life and will no longer be supported in May 2024. So, you may want to consider upgrading to the May 2023 versions instead. Refer to the following articles:
