License optimization application

Hi

I'm about to purchase further licenses for our QV environment. But, before that, I would like to look at an optimization scenario where i measure my users and times they use their CAL. Does anyone have any experience with that? Have you gained anything from it?

So far we only run on Assigned CAL (one license per user) but I would like to explore the possibility of session CALs (many users per license, but only one at a time).

Is it possible to extraxt the data from the QEMC regarding licenses and use that for an optimization application?

Hopefully, I'm in the right discussiongrup! 🙂

Hi Hans,

Have you looked at the System Monitor tool?

Latest (unsupported) version available here:  http://community.qlik.com/qlikviews/1029

It loads your server logs files and you can analyse who is using what and when.
