No result on user query from QMC with error "The communication with the qlikview server failed"

After installing QV Server 12.4 SR4 we are experiencing problems looking up users in the AD (LDAP protocol) in the QMC. On some machines we get a result in 2 minutes without an error and on others no result with the error"The communication with the qlikview server failed (Timeout)"

We tried the following:

  • Reinstalling the software, didn 't work.
  • Fixing the installation, didn 't work

The only thing that did the trick is removing everything related to Qlikview on the System disk and then doing a clean install of QV Server 12.4 SR4.

We can 't find the problem. Does anyone have an idea?

In troubleshooting this issue you will likely need extensive log review and may need to involve Qlik R&D, so zuggest you contact Qlik Support directly for this issue.
