Hi All,

Today interview call some one as asked what is the purpose of force32

Could some one explain me

Yes, you can if

1. The odbc driver for SQL Server is installed on your system and

2. an ODBC datasource was created with the ODBC Data Source Administrator tool for the database you want to connect to.

if u used the 32 bit driver (ODBC or Jdbc) to fetch the data from database then we need to check force 32 check box in edit script dialog box.

You need Force 32 if you need to use a 32-bit odbc driver when you're using the 64-bit version of Qlikview.

ODBC and OLEDB are two types of drivers. For some data sources there is no OLEDB driver available, but there is an ODBC driver. In that case you have no choice and need to use the ODBC driver. If both types of driver are available for a data source then using the OLEDB driver is easier. You can find more information if you search the internet. There are a lot of articles about OLEDB versus ODBC.

i have Sql server Data source can i use ODBC Connection String (Instead of OLEDB)
