QMC Error: The source document failed to save... Exception=System.UnauthorizedAccessException

Hi,

I got the following error from QMC:

The sourcedocument failed to save.. Exception=System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path ... is denied.

After that on the next reload the following message was thrown by QMC:

QDSMain.Exceptions.SourceDocumentNotFoundException: Could not find SourceDocument (Distribution)...

Checking the source folder, the file is not there. I've check windows logs and recycle bin and there is no clue of what happened with that file. A couple of months We have the same situation.

Has anybody have the same type of issue before?

Kind Regards,

Is it single box or cluster environment?

If it Single box then use absolute path instead of UNC.

If it is cluster then make sure your service account has domain admin privilege or administrator privilege in all the machines.

Thank you Saravana,

Also in the following threads I found the similar situation:

- qvw file deleted form Source Document after failed reloaded

- Weird .qvw files deletion

I already submit the case to Qlik tech, and they recommend to install a patch to solve this issue. Apparently this happens in some environments when reload fails and the temp document created during the reload cannot be stored.

In addition, check available disk space where the Source Documents folder resides.

Hi Joe,

Ok, then, submit a ticket to Qlik. They will check your current QVS version and will compile a patch that will fit your current version, this takes a couple of days. Once they have the patch,  they will send it to you. Patch installation is pretty straight forward, you will receive an exe file and just have to run it (well, considering that you have stopped services previously...)
