Retain default view of the chart when toggling between tabs

Hello,

I have a qvw with two tabs - Main 1 and Main 2.

1) Clicking on a button on Main 1 tab launches Main 2 tab
2) The default view of the chart on Main 2 tab should always be a specified one - in this case Unit & Amount.

When on Main 2 tab, if you cycle thru different dimension - such as State or Status then go back to Main 1 tab and again go to Main 2 tab, it doesn't retain the (default) Unit & Amount view of the chart. Suggestions, please? A sample QVW is attached for your reference.

Don't have license to access qvw but I think you would need Sheet trigger to apply bookmark which has your default view, may be -

I can't understand part 2. What exactly you need in 2?

On Main 2 tab, the default view of the chart should always be with Unit & Amount. If you click on cyclic drill down on Main 2 and let's say the chart view is now either (1) Status & Amount or (2) State & Amount and when you go back to Main 1 tab, and go back to Main 2 again, you'll see whatever chart view you left off on Main 2 but not the default chart view (Unit & Amount).

That didn't work. I don't see any difference between the button you created and the one I had. This action simply launches Main 2 tab but how does it know to retain the default chart view?

I created a bookmark and added to action to the button on Main 1 tab but that didn't seem to work.

Consider using Alternate States or you can detach the chart

Hi Subash,

As per my understanding, it is not feasible in Qlikview. But to meet your requirement, I have a workaround for you.

May be this can help you to achieve what you are looking for.
