Standard hash functions

Hi folks,

is it possible to use standard hashing algorithms in Qlik Sense?

I need for example SHA-256 for calculating user IDs.

Probably there are some libraries that I can include and use in Qlik Sense...

SHA-256 of the string

username

is

16f78a7d6317f102bbd95fc9a4f3ff2e3249287690b8bdad6b7810f82b34ace3

Created via: hashgenerator.de - generate md4 md5 sha1 sha256 sha512 ripemd and whirlpool hashes on the fly

Thanks!

BR,

Georg

As far as I know Qlik Sense doesn't have a mechanism for plugging in code like that. If you only need the hash values in Qlik Sense (or Qlikview) you can use the builtin hash256 function. But that's not SHA-256.

PS you posted this in the Qlikview section. There's a Qlik Sense section too dedicated entirely to Qlik Sense.
