Using QlikView to edit data

I haven't used QlikView for about 4 years now and as I remember it, it is really a read only tool. We have a group that has a laundry list of columns and data they want to keep updated and added to. Is this something I can do with QlikView easily? I have an old Access database with forms that we were looking into reusing but it quickly brought back migraines from years ago. 🙂 I could do a website for this but it is not worth the development effort as they are a really small shop. Does QlikView make sense for something like this or perhaps can anyone else recommend rapid development tools for some quick forms to input (and report on) data?

Hi,

You can write back data to original table by using input box and macro in qlikview.

Let me know is that the requirement?

I don't think QlikView is the right tool for this requirement. Also cost of licensing is not worth for this kind of requirement even if it is achievable by some means. I suggest to go with Access or godaddy,Zoho etc kind of tools to create website with minimum time and cost.

You could try it with an tool like: SQL Writeback from QlikView extension object.
