Help in creating custom pop-ups in Qlikmaps

Hi All,

I have QlikMaps_For_MQ_Multilayer, QlikMaps_For_MQ_Points and QlikMaps_For_MQ_Polygons qars for QlikMaps.

Can any one guide me how to create a custom popup using them? Like I need a bar chart in popup box.

Also the expression in Spider and Radial expression boxes are not coming upon selecting the respective icons.

Attached the qvw for reference.

Please help.

Thanks,

Niharika

Hi Niharika,

My name is Trey Bayne and I work for QlikMaps. We have documented one way to do bar charts in pop ups on our Knowledge Base.

https://analytics8.screenstepslive.com/s/qlikmaps/m/20454/c/79116

That said, remember that pop ups HTML pages so you could use a number of other techniques we haven't imagined yet to build bar charts.

Spider Charts documentation can be found here:

https://analytics8.screenstepslive.com/s/qlikmaps/m/20454/l/213731-configuring-and-using-spider-plot...

Radial Documentation can be found here:

https://analytics8.screenstepslive.com/s/qlikmaps/m/20454/l/213732-configuring-and-using-radial-plot...

Examples of Custom Pop Ups, Spider Charts and Radials can also be found at http://QlikMaps.com/download under /QlikMaps for QlikView Full/Examples and Tutorials/2.x/Tutorials/QlikMaps Points.qvw.

Lastly, in the future I'd recommend using http://support.analytics8.com. That is the main support page for QlikMaps and you will likely get a quicker response than posting here.

Hi,

We have planned to use Qlikmaps.

Please let me know the pre-requisites to use qlikmaps in qlikview.

One question: Do we need IE plugin to install to use Qlikmaps in access point?

Qlikview version: 11.20 SR2

Thanks..

I would suggest starting a new thread with your question in the relevant section.

If you're desperate for Trey to see your question and this is why you have replied here, then simply mention him in the post.

hi nareshthavidishetty,

Adam Davies is right and I wish this had been on a different thread so others could easily find it. That said, I don't want to leave somebody interested in QlikMaps hanging so I'll do what I can to answer here.

QlikMaps uses the AJAX client and, like any other extension object, will not work with the IE Plugin. That means that it will run in just about any modern browser including mobile devices.

The only issue I see that you may run in to is using QlikView 11.2 SR2. SR2 has some restrictions on how modern a browser you can use. This may mean that you are using a browser that doesn't fully support standard AJAX and may cause an issue with extension objects, including QlikMaps. Because of this, we fully support SR5 and higher with IE9 or higher, modern Chrome or Firefox.

If you have additional information, please start a different thread. Thanks.
