High Five - September 2021, Mike Tarallo
Mike thrives on information sharing, troubleshooting, and content creation when working with the Qlik Community and our members. He also loves kicking the tires on new Qlik products and sharing sneak peeks with the Community through blogs and videos. In addition, Mike enjoys promoting other people’s hard work through the Qlik Community guest blogger program, where Consultants and Solution Architects can share other in-the-trenches solutions. Mike says that overall, it is just about helping our partners and Community members learn what he learned and showing them what is coming, how to use it, and what benefits to expect. Mike enjoys showing others what he discovered and how he found it, primarily using video – as this is universal. Though it may not always be in the viewer’s language, they still can grasp the concept of what Mike is showing. When it comes to information sharing and learning about Qlik, he found that using a dataset that you understand and love will help you learn faster.
Mike is an avid video gamer and Star Wars Graphics T wearer, loves anything Star Wars, enjoys retro game collecting and 3D printing. He uses his retro video game collection data with Qlik Sense combined with pricing data from a pricing service (PriceCharting.com) and incrementally loads it into a data store. The app has been reloading daily since 2017. Mike has created various analyses on this data and sees trends and relationships between titles, genres, and platforms.
Mike hosts a bi-weekly webinar series, Do More with Qlik. This month, Wednesday Sept 22 at 10 AM ET – Jeff Goldberg and Mike will introduce you to our latest Integration Platform as a Service (IPaaS) offering Qlik App Automation. He hopes to see you all there!
We are honored to have Mike play a vital role in the Qlik Community. Please join us and give him a High Five by leaving a comment and giving a like so he knows how much we appreciate his expertise and efforts. @Michael_Tarallo @Katie_Abbott
