Round of Applause - February 2021, Vegar Lie Arntsen

 Hello February! Our Featured Member this month is no stranger to Community. Anyone who is anyone in Qlik Community knows his name. There are even some posts labeled with his name! This high performer has contributed over 3,000 posts and replies, provided 700+ solutions, awarded nearly 1K likes, and received more than that. And he has consumed over 45,000 pieces of content. What a smart guy! It is with great pleasure that we announce this month’s Round of Applause recipient, the one and only Vegar, a valued Partner in the Qlik Community.

His given name is Vegar Lie Arntsen and he just turned 40 years old. Born and raised in the middle of Norway, Vegar has lived in Sweden with his wife and three children. In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor activities with family and friends. Fishing is Vegar’s favorite outdoor entertainment.

Vegar works as a Qlik consultant at our partner ViewBase in the city of Uppsala, an hour north of Stockholm. He has been working with Qlik products since 2010 and was a member of the Community from the start. Over the years, he has been a frequent reader and Community promotor. In his early years with QlikView, he found the Community to be a great source of knowledge. Even today as a Qlik developer and administrator, he still finds Community to be a valuable resource. Vegar appreciates the friendly atmosphere inside the Community. He finds everyone polite and friendly, where there is no such thing as a stupid question. 

A couple of years ago, Vegar started to put some effort into replying and helping others in the Community. He saw it as a good deed, a way to return the favor for all the help he received. He has since received other benefits from being an active member. He learns a lot by explaining things that he “knows” to others and said that there is a big difference between knowing and being able to explain it. Vegar benefits from the insights of reading other Community members' replies and alternative solutions on posts he participates in. He feels that participating in the Community is also good for the soul, it feels nice knowing that many of his small contributions have been of great help to others. Not long ago he received feedback from a member that his reply had solved their three-day-long struggle – WHAT A FEELING!
