Hi All:
i want to apply a scatter chart on an image, it that possible? The detailed requirement is as following:
" i want to prepare a demo for real estate industry, and need to apply a scatter chart on aerial view of each project, the bubble will indicates if there is Residential or Hotel or Office, and when click the bubble , there will be a form displayed describe the detailed info of this building"
Can this requirement be achieved in QV? Really appreciate if anyone can give me some comments. Thanks all
Thanks
Stefanie
Here is an example, I will have a look to your application.
Hi Stefanie,
Yes, you can use an image, in the properties of your chart, on the "colors" tab you can specify a static or a dynamic image.
If you want that details appear when you choose a building, you can use in the "layout" tab, a conditional expression to hide or not your sheet objects. For example, if you want that an object is visible when a single value is selected in a dimension named "Dim1", you can use : if(Only(Dim1)=Dim1,1,0).
Regards,
Vincent
Hi Vincent, thanks for your comments. But i'm wondering how to decide the coordinate of the bubble?? because i should decide which site would be placed with "Residential", which would be palced with" Hotel", etc
You will have to store the coordinates of your site in a table.
For example, open your image with mspaint, look at the coordinates of your different sites and make an excel files with them.
Then on QV, force the scale of you scater chart in order to match the exact size of your picture.
OK. Besides the coordinates, if there any requirement for the Axis (static min and static max?), and if there need to load any scripts in the "main" sheet?
Hi Vincent, i have tried this function by your comments, but there is some problems with it. FIrst, the expression of "Long" and "Height" of the image is not sure. at first, i just use [Long] and [Height] as the expression, but it says the express is too few, then i use sum to express, but the coordinate is not i want. Can you help me to figure out this problems. I would love to upload the doc i used, please refer to the attachment

Many Thanks, Vincent. So, the dimension in your sample is X and Y, not the Contry Name?
Yes that's it.
The country is just used to join the sales figures and the coordinate.
But, when the moust move on the bubble, i want displayed Project name instead of the value of X and Y, can it be achieved? and i also want the label on the right hand side to show project name, not the X,Y
