Hi everyone,
actually im updating the .qvw files with the scheduler of windows witch run two time per day. But now i need to take more control of this process and i have to find a program to replace the scheduler of windows with two principals features: send emails and only execute a job if another finished ok.
Could you tell me how you manage and monitor the updates of qlikview files?
Thanks
Gerardo
Is there a reason why you are not thinking of using QV Server and QV Publisher? These are built in features and they work well. Without building something custom, I don't know that you have a lot of options.
Thanks Nate…..the main reason is money…..we are just starting with this and first i need to demostrate that qlikview is usefull.
I will try to organize my .bat executable files so….
Thanks
Gerardo

That is probably your best bet. There are probably some prgrams out there, but I doubt they would be free. It would be counter-productive to buy some management software, to support your case for buying QlikView server as well.
With that said, Windows should allow you to manage some of the scheduling...
Good luck.
You could take a look at Orbis TaskCentre

I am sure it can do all you are asking for, and more.
Good Luck,
Dennis.
