Action for On Open Document

Hello,

I am working on converting a QlikView Dashboard to Qlik Sense.

In the QlikView Dashboard they have a trigger on the Open Document to select values into fields.

I don't see this option in Qlik Sense Aug 2022.  I know that we can use Actions on sheets but this is not an exact match.

Is there a good work around?

You can create a bookmark and set it as the default. This means the app will open with these filters applied and can take you to a specific sheet.

Can I make this different for each user?

As an example as US user would default to US, a Canadian User would default to Canada, a Admin User would have no default.

If you have a way to identify the region of the user based on how they are signing into QlikSense, you can create a variable with value "OSUser()" and then use that value to add an action to the first sheet. Under sheet actions, you can select "Select in field" and the select the field from drop down for region and enter value as "$(variable created)". Every time that sheet is opened the specific region for the user will be selected.
