Different Window Title when minimised

Hello all

Is it possible to tell what state an object is in, i.e Minimised, Restored, or Maximised? What I am trying to do is to have a shorter caption on a chart object when it is minimised - if I can tell the state of the object I will be able to do this with a formula.

Thanks

Hello Brian,

You can set a button with two actions, one for minimizing the chart, the second for changing the name of the chart (or running a macro that does it).

Hope that helps.

Hi Brian,

I think you are after a function that you can use in a dynamic expression in your chart title, but, to my knowledge, there is no such function. The only way I know how to do this is follow Miguel's proposition.

I too wanted to discover if changing object titles was possible depending on minimised/maximised state.

In part, this has been raised as an Idea here: http://community.qlik.com/ideas/1529

but it needs Votes.
