Forgot password hidden script

Hello!

Friends, I made a script in QlikView 11 and added a password to my script become hidden, only for some reason I am not able to access that script, is to get it back?

You're out of luck. There is no way to retrieve the hidden script password.

Hi,

Before creating any hidden script make sure u  save a copy of that and start working , If u have an hidden  script password and  by chance ur script got failed  then also  u cannot retrive this..

Hi

you can delete the hidden script file by creating a -prj folder and deleting the hidden script xml file, it will be in a binary.data file

this will only save layout, you will need to create a new script, but once it's removed you will have the option to create a new hidden script

In future, save all sheet codes in the script as main.qvs or calendar.qvs etc...

.qvs is a Qlikview Script File and as  good practise you should save all code in these files

@ Alan Farell : very interesting, i curenty into hidden script and section access, this is very handy...

although its very unfortunate that no one can retrived hidden script in case u forgot ur password.

hope to learn about QVS.....
