make sure IE plugin is installed on your system

In the QMC, Find your document in the Documents --> User Documents list.  On the Server --> Availability tab for that document, have only IE Client selected for Access Method.  You will need to do this for every document you wish to prevent AJAX on.

On the QMC, System, Setup, Qlikview Web Servers, AccessPoint. There is a setting labeled "Default Preferred Client".

Obviously in order to have everyone use the IE plug-in they will need to have it installed (this is the big advantage of the Ajax or Full Browser version).  To make this simpler for users (and the IT stuff) you can show a link on the Access Point to allow users to download and install the client.  This is on the same AccessPoint Settings tab that Rob mentioned above.

Agree with this advantage. But Ajax is so inferior to the PlugIn. I even get part time users to load it.

The Ajax client is much better than it used to be. As a Chrome user myself

I tend to only use Full Browser Version these days. This has the advantage

that I see the worst case scenario on the layout (such as grid style

multi-boxes not working) so if any user doesn't use the IE plug-in I still

know what they are seeing.
