I am everything data: From collection, collation, ETL, warehousing, optimisation, manipulation modelling, analytics, and of course visualisation. My strongest skills and real passions lie with SQL, having been an engineer and analyst for many years; but I have a very real love of visualisation, after all, what point is there in SQL work if you cannot show off your skill? The result of which can always be demonstrated with visualisation- Which brings me square on to my other great love: visualisation; although my greatest strengths lie with Tableau having began using it in 2008, and teaching the tool from 2010, my introduction to Tableau came off the back of Qlikview. And now since ~2015 I cross-tool from Tableau to Qlik Sense and from 2017 I cross tool between Tableau, Qlik Sense and PowerBI and back again. Please do not be offended by my job title. Yes, I am a Tableau lead, so most of my dashboards are Tableau, but I also design, build and maintain both Qlik Sense and PowerBI dashboards too.
