I have been in the computer industry since 1990. I started out as a PC repair technician during the IBM 8086 & 8088 compatible upgrade craze. Back when 286, 386 and 486 motherboards were the hype and 4 MB of RAM was a big deal! The exposure of integrated circuit assembly and troubleshooting enhanced my abilities to quickly isolate problems. The PC manufacturer ventured into the multimedia, video capturing hardware and software for the security industry, which further exposed me to concepts of programming/software. With the newly acquired experience of troubleshooting hardware and software, I managed to pursue a career in technical support for 10 years, until I gained interest in database SQL language and data manipulation. The ability to dive into data to tell a story led me to explore ERP business form development, report writing and business intelligence.
