Red squares when adding a TMS as a background layer

Dear all,

I have just approached Qlik Sense and I am trying to add a background layer issued from OSM.

When I add the URL in the box, all I get is some red squares as shown in the picture below:

I have tried with other maps but the problem doesn't seem to be solved. What do I do wrong?

Thank you for your help

Hi everyone,

The red squares just means that the tiles failed to load. This could be due to different reasons.

In QCS you will also need to allow the client to fetch images from the base domain, by adding it to the Content Security Policy in the console.
E.g. if the TMS URL is https://tile.openstreetmap.org/{z}/{x}/{y}.png you will need to add tile.openstreetmap.org and allow img-src.

If not in QCS, or if you already have it in the CSP, I would recommend that you open the browser dev console and try to see there why the images fail to load.
You can post the errors here, or if you have a simple app where it fails you can share it and I can take a look.
