I want to make a variable that can count the number of times any of my filter gets selected.
For example if I select a value in a filter a number of times. I want to calculate the sum of total number of selection.
Should we use a for loop to achieve this . If yes how ?
Hi,
Can you share mock data and expected output in excel format. tks
So in my report date filter everytime getselectedcount(reportdate) =1, I want to calculate the number of times this condition gets fulfilled.
PFA of the demo app.
I know that in QlikView you could take out memory statistics that gave you somewhat info like this. How many times an object has been used, but I have no idea if this could be done in QlikSense.
There is also the applications that follows with an installation of Qlik Sense that shows usage of applications. There might be something in those that could point you in the right direction.

I have never done this before and not even sure if this can be done or not. But just so I can understand this completely, does this functionality survive the reload/sessions or is this per reload/session. Meaning if I start the app today, would it start from my last selection last time or will it restart from 1?
no it should restart while starting a new session. Whenever I open a new app the counter value should be 1
Have you used Triggers in Qlik Sense, I think that is what you will need. I have not used triggers in Qlik Sense, but if it help I can try to create a qvw sample (not sure if you are able to open that or not)
