New Tool - QVD Dictionary V2

I've posted a new tool "QVD DIctionary" to my downloads page at

http://robwunderlich.com/downloads

QVD Dictionary scans QVDs and QVWs and provides some useful displays.

Meant for QV Developers and Administrators, QVD Dictionary can help you use and manage your QVDs in a number of ways:

  - Find what QVD(s) contain a field.

  - Explore QVD associations.

  - Explore samples of QVD data.

  - Reconcile Field spellings, case and formats.

  - Reconcile Test vs Production.

  - Trace data back to it's source tables.

  - Identify unused QVDs.

It's similar to the info you can get from MetaScanner, but with a few additions.

This may all be overtaken by the Expressor Governance Dashboard when that is released, but in the meantime I'm finding this one useful.

Please post any comments or questions to this thread.

Very useful Rob. Thanks for sharing this.

Hopefully the Expressor Dashboard gives more!

I'm not quite sure what you are looking for.

Do you want to see how QVDs are growing over time?

Or do you want something that estimates how much data will be in the future?

Could you provide a specific example?
