I have built a network monitoring QV dashboard that essentially runs off of SNMP quries. I have also created a script that tags certain sites as alarmed based off of the respective values (e.g. 'Loss of AC' if AC_Voltage = 0).
The dashboard is running on a QV test server within my corporate network and that is where it is executing a .bat file which is getting all the SNMP data. Can I configure this dashboard to send out e-mail notifications and if so how would I go about doing this.
it is possible. You should first configure SMTP settings in QMC. In QV document you can create alert (in QV Desktop, Tools>Alerts), that will send mail according to defined condition (for instance, value of some field exceeded allowed value).
