What is dateIsland in QV? Can anyone explain ?

A date island is a QlikView table which is not connected to other QlikView tables

When you created a data model in QlikView (you can see the data model when press ctrl + t) you can see that the tables are connected.

If a table is not connected to a other table then it is called date island.
