Here is a app that shows brushing that can be done with alternate states http://community.qlik.com/qlikviews/1194

Also on demo.qlik.com you will find "What's new in QlikView 11", you can download that one and have a look at the product examples that relies heavily on alternate states.

You will need QV11 for both examples.

Hi Alexander,

I have just come across this old post, but the link no longer works.
Could you please provide the new location for that app?

I would also like to understand how the app showed here

Alternate States Brushing Demo - YouTube

works behind the scene.

I have done something similar based on a webinar I followed a few months ago: "Putting theory into practice".

Available here: https://qliktech.webex.com/qliktech/lsr.php?RCID=e65d0e2b77a4464dbc8af2320397caca

In the webinar, they use set analysis and not alternate states. It also seems I cannot "push" the selected items at the bottom of the bar chart (like in the picture below).

Could you please help?

Thank you

Unfortunately this link is now broken.  Is it possible to link to the application again in it's new location?
