Hi All
I notice that QS is free. And I also notice that some coy selling QS with 5 token cost about 5k US with promotion.
May I know what are the feature cannot do for free version compare to those paid version ?
Or it is qlik sense going to charge in future ? Now only suck people to use and like it and charge later?
Paul
Qlik Sense Desktop is free. and will in the future. Only will expire version and need to regularly update it to the latest.
Qlik Sense Server is free too.
You can create a cluster with many nodes. All this is free of charge. But there tokent UNIT licensing. Without it not possible to get access to the hub server. And as a result - you will not be able to work.
Hi Sir
So with the token mean user can share the doc with administrator. Just like QV development personal edition user cannot open license doc it is ?
And also allow batch file automatically data and don't need manually click reload button at QS desktop it is ?
Sent from my android device.
token mean - You can assign for user Login access pass or Named access pass. And then user can open hub in QS Server and open application there and create self application.
more info you can see in help http://help.qlik.com/sense/en-US/online/#../Subsystems/ServerDeploymentConfiguration/Content/Server/...
QlikSense has everuthing you need to restart the application
Hi Sir
You last sentence You said QS have every thing you need ....
Do you mean the free version I cannot reload the QVW and with server it can automatic reload QVW file also automatic upload QVF file to cloud ?
Paul
qlik sense does not work with QVW. Application in QS has new format QVF. You can export load script from QVW in qvf but visualization is necessary to develop the new. Also, I do not know anything about the mechanism of automatic publication of application to the cloud
Hi Paul,
Qlik Sense server contains many features not available to the desktop version. Qlik Sense server offers an enterprise ready governed self-service data visualisation platform with security, scheduling, anywhere anytime development and a host of other features that set it apart from the desktop. You can get an overview by watching the videos here: New to Qlik Sense Server Videos
To address your specific question Qlik Sense apps can be reloaded by tasks on a scheduled or triggered basis as desired. There is no capability to automatically upload QVF files to the cloud currently (assuming your server is not itself in the cloud) however you could develop such a capability via the API's available. At the present time you can upload apps from your desktop to Qlik Cloud via the Qlik Cloud interface.
Hope this helps.
