Hi everyone,
If I have an environment where Qlik Replicate and Compose are running on VMware, and I want to restart VMware, here are the steps I take:
in Qlik Replicate (Linux)
1. Stop all running tasks
2. Stop Replicate (./areplicate stop) by CLI command
In Compose (windows server):
1. Stop all running tasks or make sure no jobs are running
2. Stop via Windows + R, type services.msc, find Qlik Compose, and then stop it.
Then I restart both VMs.
When the VMs are restarted, will all tasks start over from the beginning, like a full reload? Or can resume the task ?
I need a definitive answer based on experience or documentation.
Thank you,
Best Regards.
Hi @AldyPs ,
For Qlik Replicate, a normal stop followed by a restart does not mean a full reload from scratch. After a task has already run once and is then stopped, the normal action is Resume Processing, which resumes from the point where it stopped. A full reload only happens if you explicitly choose Reload Target, or if you changed things like schema/filter definitions and need to reload instead of resume.
