On our QEM server we are hosting two QLIK Replicate Unix servers. One for Development work and one for QA Level work. When I try to set up alerts for All Current and Future tasks, it does not allow me to do it by server. Since the people who work on QA are different than those that work in DEV, I need to be able to send the errors to different mail lists. I tried doing the notification setup on the tasks screen but if 1 pick the selected servers option it only allows me to choose from the existing tasks so I would have to check this on a repetitive basis to insure I picked up the new tasks that might be created. Is there a way to select which server I send out the task notifications?
Thanks
Hi,
If you go to set up a notification under QEM manager screen, than you have 2 tabs : "server" for server related notifcations and "tasks" for task level notifications. To set up a task level notification you have to define a new notification rule under the task tab. When you enter the notification rule definition, you can choose what type of notification you would like to define and than the following screen will provide you the option with which task/s you would like to associate the notification rule i.e. the screen with the title:
"Associate
Associate the rule with tasks. Note: Rules can only be associated with Replicate tasks."
The options you can choose in this screen are: "Selected Tasks" or "All Current and Future Tasks".
If I understand your question correctly, than the option "All Current and Future Tasks" should meet your requirements. If this is not what you meant, I would suggest you to open a case and elaborate on the scenario you are trying to achieve so we can better understand what is not working for you.
Thanks & regards,
Orit
