Unable to Disable Security Rule in QMC

Hi All,

I have not much knowledge of Security rule in QMC.

There is one issue I am facing as Rootadmin. I am unable to duplicate the application in my work space.

It is for all applications.

There are two security has been created in QMC for RootAdmin and unable to disable newely created one.

In fact, i am unable to update anything in security rule. suppose i am changing any action under resouce filter, it is not getting updated. like create, Read etc..

May be security rule  is getting overriden.

Request your suggestion for resolving this issue as none of developer able to duplicate the application.

I am attaching the screenshot for reference.

Thanks in advance!!

The first one in your picture, "RootAdmin", is a default rule and can't be disabled. And should absolutely not be disabled, as this would remove rights for root admin and it would more or less lock root admins out of the system.

You should be able to alter the second one. Double-click it so that its settings open, check the "disabled" box on top of those settings, and apply the change (with the button at the bottom of the page).

Are you root admin?

What happens when you try to disable that rule? (How do you try to do it?) Is everything disabled when you try to edit that rule? Maybe you could post a screenshot of it (the details, not the list of security rules as in your already posted image)?

Are you logged in as the user who is defined in that rule? If you are not also affected by the regular root admin rule, maybe you can't disable the rule as it would throw yourself out of the system. Maybe. It is a longshot...

Otherwise you should probably check log files (you could need to increase logging level) to see if there are any error messages regarding the update you are trying to make.
