Data Alert Not working

Hi,

I have an qliksense app with the following table.

jpjust_0-1625277802602.png

I configured an data alert as below with alert condition.

Eventhough the Sum(sum) goes above 30000 the alert is not triggered.

Can you please let me know what would be the issue here?

Thanks

Hi, in this case I dont' see Sum(Sum) is greater than 30000, it's equal, maybe you have to set it.

Also note that if you ahve selected a dimension for the alert it will be evaluated for each dimension value, not for the total of the table.

Try setting only one dimension value over the configured limit to check if it triggers the alert.

Hello @jpjust, @rubenmarin is right here, from where we can see in the screenshot the value is equal to 3000 so then the alert will not fire due to the fact that is not greater than 3000 (manual value). Have you tried the solution proposed by Ruben? Did it work for you? Thanks!

Thanks Ruben. That worked.

I am exploring this tool. So I initially configured this alert from the app using the extension.

Is it possible to hide the extension object from the app after an end user configures an alert.

As an admin, I can configure alert from the Qlik alerting url.

Thanks

Hi, I don't know, I don't have acces now but I don't remember an option to hide, you can make a test removing it and check if it still works. Or moving it to a hidden sheet.

I think this extension is intended to allows users to configure alerts, so it should be present to allow users to configure alerts and it's not intended to be hidden in any case.

An expression to configure show/hide can be an improvement to restrict users that can create alerts or, like in our case, if you want to hide the extension completely.

Maybe @Patricia_Silva can confirm if the extension can be hidden or not.

Hello,

Data and System Alerts are not firing myaarpmedicare off even though you receive an email from Qlik Alerting that a new alert has been created.

Yes, the alert just works fine after configuring and removing the extension button.
