Chart for comparison of time periods with multiple measures

Which chart is best to display a comparison of time periods for multiple measures? I can get one period to show using a pivot table, but I am not able to get it to work with different periods.

Attached is what I am trying to achieve, but each measure’s set expression is different. Values are just samples.

This can be done using a pivot table as well... you just have to be a little creative here...

The current year and previous year stack when I try to add periods.

May be share 10-15 rows of data and provide the exact output you are looking to see based on the data provided

I know you shared how you want the output to look like... but based on the data provided? What columns are you expecting to see?

  • Trend
    • Oct-19
    • Nov-19
    • Dec-19
  • Month-to-Date
    • Actual -> Is this between 12/01/2019 till 12/26/2019?
    • Prior Year Actual - > Is this between 12/01/2018 till 12/26/2018?
    • Over /(Under) PY -> What exactly is this?
  • Year-to-Date
    • Current Year Actual -> Is this between 01/01/2019 till 12/26/2019?
    • Prior Year Actual - > Is this between 01/01/2018 till 12/26/2018?
    • Over/(Under) PY -> What exactly is this?

See comments below in red.

  • Month-to-Date
    • Actual -> Is this between 12/01/2019 till 12/26/2019? - Correct. Actual period of the Month.
    • Prior Year Actual - > Is this between 12/01/2018 till 12/26/2018? Correct.
    • Over /(Under) PY -> What exactly is this? I should not have included this. This will be the difference in the two columns.
  • Year-to-Date
    • Current Year Actual -> Is this between 01/01/2019 till 12/26/2019? Correct.
    • Prior Year Actual - > Is this between 01/01/2018 till 12/26/2018? Correct.
    • Over/(Under) PY -> What exactly is this? I should not have included this. This will be the difference in the two columns.
