Does Qlik Sense engine free-up memory after a failed reload?

One of our Qlik Sense developers tried to reload his app (qvf size is 4.3 GB) in QS hub. The reload failed due to database issue. Then he reloaded it again and still failed. After these two failed reloads, the sever memory consumption jumped to 98%, and it did not go down for 10+ minutes. This made the entire server extremely slow or almost not responding and we had to reboot the server. We know the data model of the QS app was poorly designed and we will work on it. But meanwhile, does Qlik Sense engine free-up memory after a failed reload?

Hi,

I think when reloaded a session is created, then you can check this doc: Why does the Qlik Sense Memory usage remain high? - Qlik Community - 1805698

Quick solution may to change Engine Settings about RAM: Engines | Qlik Sense for administrators Help, by lowering RAM Max % Usage

Check Qlik Sense Engine Enterprise on Windows: How the m... - Qlik Community - 1717228 too
