How to activate pagination for the new Visualisation Straight Table to work

Hello, 

I'm testing the new Straight Table visualisation, but I can't seem to get the exploration mode to show.  If I click the option while viewing the sheet, the table changes size, but the selection box doesn't show up.  

I read that pagination needs to be activated for this to work.  What is pagination and how do you activate it ?

Hi @leenlart 

You don't need pagination. 

But if you want it 

• Click on table
• Edit Sheet
• Presentation
• Tick Use Pagination

The Chart Exploration is underneath the Pagination setting

Stay in Edit Sheet 

• Open chart Exploration
• Either Auto or minimized

Minimised. When viewing table. Right click on table and choose Chart Exploration

You were correct, the pagination option did nothing for my problem!

So here is what I've got, the chart exploration on to Auto.  

When I view the sheet, it looks like this : 

If I right-click on the table, and select chart exploration : 

My chart adjusts, seemingly to leave room on the left for the dimensions/measures selector, but nothing is shown:

Any ideas ?

Lamentably, Qlik has not seen fit to issue a patch yet. Hopefully soon.

Ahh, of course.  I figured it was user error and didn't search for anything related to the chart not working!  Well **bleep**.  I might look into correcting the json, but I need to check on the virtual proxies first.

To be fair, I wouldn't have found that if I hadn't already known it was there. I have a support ticket open for this issue so I have the link available directly.

I'm really hoping they issue a patch this Wednesday - they're due for a release anyway (August 2023 is supposed to come out either this week or the next, or they'll run out of August), so seems like a reasonable time to also release a SR for May 2023.
