How to have yesterday's date as dynamic bookmark in Qlik SaaS

Hi,

What am I trying?

To only show yesterday's data when the app is opened.

What have I tried so far?

I tried creating a dynamic bookmark by following the instruction video form Qlik (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tFyqOigqnUw)

(1) I type following in the Date Filter search box

lwp89_1-1660145348684.png

(2) then select this date value

(3) then create a bookmark and set it as default

What's wrong with this?

The bookmark is capturing static value, instead of changing it everyday. So everyday the bookmark is applying the same value of the previous date that was there on the day when this bookmark created.

What is my expectation?

I was hoping that the bookmark would dynamically know the previous date based the search criteria expression!

Has anyone come across this problem? and what would be the best solution for this?

Step 2 is you problem. You should not select the value; rather, you should hit "enter" on your keyboard.

Thanks @Or

I pressed ENTER instead of selecting the value.. but after pressing Enter, it has selected the value anyways!

Now I have created a new bookmark as-is with this automatic selection and will revisit and confirm tomorrow 🙂

Thanks

This should be easy to test - the bookmark's text (when you click the "i" button for information) will contain the formula, not the explicit value 8/9/2022.

oh yes.. I did check that for every single attempt that I tried in the past and not this one !

Here is what it looks like

That is what it should look like when it recognizes your selection was based on a formula rather than an explicit value (though it's a bit odd that you're making the selection on Date(Floor([Release Date])) rather than just on release date).

Thanks..  may be because I am applying the filter on the date field from auto calendar?
