I'm trying to determine if there is a easy way to identify when a field of expression has an error. I try not to but once in awhile I will unintentionally update something in the load script that breaks one or more of my expressions/field names. I never know if anything is broken until I open every dimension or measure. Is there any type of monitoring app or process that I can use to find any app that has a field or expression that has an error?
I don't think this is possible.
What can be done is a preliminary check before removing/changing a field in the application, using the App Analyzer. This way, you can identify the field and see if it is in use in the application.
Another idea is to use master items, especially for fields that are used on multiple screens. This makes maintenance easier and gives you more agility when changes are needed.
