Limit 'zoom in' to date level (not hours) in Combo Chart

I have a graph with two dimensions, one of the indices is a date. When I zoom in - it reaches the hour level. The hour dimension has no value to me and I want to eliminate it.
I tried to restrict the script - without success. Anyone have an idea how to implement the solution?
